DXC Technology Solution Architect - Infrastructure in Vilnius, Lithuania


The position of Solution Architect is responsible for translating business requirements into IT solutions taking into account the complexity of existing systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leads a cross-functional team that analyzes, designs, and implements architecture of projects in order to meet solution needs; leverages resources from different teams to ensure customer needs are met.

  • Analyzes new and existing architectures, researches solutions, specifies long term direction and ensures engineering platforms meet reliability expectations to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Designs overall system and solution architecture, system integration and implementation strategy to deliver an integrated solution which meets customer needs.

  • Communicates the system integration vision and strategy during meetings and presentations to appropriate parties. Ensures that the technical aspects of the program are accepted by the stakeholders.

  • Generates conceptual, logical, and physical architectures, system documents, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture to meet client needs.

  • Leads major proposal efforts and creates strategies to win business in new markets or current accounts.

  • Serves as a technical expert for clients in system architectures to eliminate gaps and inconsistencies in the initial and new system architectures. Ensures the technical component of the solution aligns with the client's business goals and current/potential standards.

  • Identifies existing and potential issues and design matters in overall system and solution architecture; implements solutions to ensure that best practices and processes are followed and enhanced.

  • Researches technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards.

  • Acts as lead technical leader in the bid process reviewing and approving the proposed solution on behalf of delivery organization; partners with the solution team to provide end-to-end solutioning and technical integration through early engagement, customer interlock, and post-sign support

  • Commits to the Delivery Approver and Validators that the solution can be delivered as designed and costed

  • Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.



  • Hands-on experience with design and implementation of IT infrastructure.

  • Certification in ITIL, MCSE, VCP, CCNA or TOGAF is preferred.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology or other related degree and a minimum of 6 and more years of experience working with infrastructure technologies – support, setup, monitoring ad performing testing.

  • A minimum of 4 years in an Infrastructure Architect role in developing end-to-end system solutions covering network, server, database and applications

  • Active Directory (Forests, Domains, Trusts, etc.).

  • Group Policy, Replication, File Storage.

  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Data Center Architectures.

  • Moderate to Advanced Networking Skills (Cisco programming is not a part of this role, but you should be able to clearly draw infrastructure diagrams on a whiteboard and understand complex topologies).

  • Hands-on experience with design and implementation of IT infrastructure.

  • Understanding of the advantages, pitfalls and costs of applications and technologies as well as integration of various technical platforms.

  • Strong analytic ability especially the ability to look at complex technical landscapes and recommend key business focused solutions.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Team player and customer service driven.
