First Data’s Operations and Call Center functions are focused on providing the outstanding client service, support and experiences that are critical to our ongoing success. Our Operations owner-associates are responsible for the stability of our global network infrastructure by helping our financial institution clients with various aspects of transaction processing, including statement management, card production and ticket-issue resolution. Our Call Center owner-associates are often the first point of contact for our business clients, and they play an important role in driving client satisfaction. They are responsible for answering questions and resolving problems on a wide range of issues, including account activation inquiries, potential fraudulent activity and our full range of products and services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the emergency repair and on-going maintenance required to ensure the optimum performance of the user’s electronic and hardware systems. Complete training on all assigned equipment. Respond to customer-initiated service calls as directed. Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems with some assistance. Perform repair of sub-assemblies as directed. Perform preventive maintenance and equipment installation.

Scope of Job

Must ensure cost savings initiatives are occurring to reduce the amount of liability in regards to parts costs. This is accomplished through outsourcing initiatives.

Autonomy

Willingness and ability to be trained on the products serviced. Respond to operator placed service calls and make necessary repairs. Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics (or equivalent educational background, i.e., military technical schools) preferred. Strong mechanical ability required. Able to handle, operate, maintain, manipulate, and adjust, assigned equipment as necessary.
